All the above boats are used by Largo Bay Sailing Club for training and
are available for members to hire at very modest cost
Largo Bay Sailing Club is keen to attract both novices and people who are hoping to get back into dinghy sailing after a break. We have a fleet of boats suitable for both training and taking part in the racing, that are available for hire to club members.
We run training courses for both juniors and adults and powerboat courses to RYA Safety Boat standard.
Once you've got the hang of sailing, hire a club boat for a few races or some practice sessions while you decide which boat to buy. On race days there is always a safety boat to hand to help with any difficulties.
The club has a family membership available and there are many families in the club with youngsters crewing for a parent (or the other way round) or with the youngsters and parents sailing different boats.
The members sail a wide variety of boats and are frequently looking for crew members - so you may be whisked off the beach before you know it!

Already have an idea what boat to sail? The club home page has a list of boats sailed at the club, many of them linked to a website for further information. Each boat comes with an accredited expert who will be able to tell you everything you ever wanted to know about it and some you didn't!
However, you can sail any type of dinghy you wish: if you want to race, all our races are handicap races so, if sailed well enough, the slowest boat can beat the fastest.
